Written, filmed and edited by me, The Risk of Falling is a poem/film about the beginning of a relationship that quickly discourses and becomes one-sided. It plays back memories, the good and bad and takes the viewer on an emotional rollercoaster.
This was a project I did for university where we were provided the opportunity to pick a piece of writing a create a story through video. I decided to take the risk of writing my own piece and telling one of my own stories.
I wrote this poem in around 20-30 minutes, it was a very cathartic moment for me. The writing was the easiest part of this journey, it was planning the filming of it that took a hit on me. I had never created a project of such before so I had my studying cut out for me.
Overall, this is a project that I am extremely happy with. It provided me with a path that inspired my future projects such as Serenade to a Shylock or An Apparition of Love
