I'm James, a highly motivated Graphic Designer with a passion for creating exceptional client experiences.
Recently graduated from Gray’s School of Art with a BA (Hons) Communication Design and working as a graphic designer at the RGU Students’ Union and at Alluring Boutique, I have developed significant independence and enhanced my thinking skills such as problem-solving and creative thinking.
In many instances, I am given tasks rather last minute and this has enabled me to think rapidly and efficiently. I make my best work through constant questioning of how something could be improved to reach the highest level of engagement.
Skills of mine include being organised and determined to address issues which can lead on to my skills of problem-solving when faced with one. Previous experience in retail has allowed me to grasp an idea of what it is to work as a team and having responsibilities over key matters in the workplace. I have used the Adobe Creative Cloud applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign for almost 10 years now so, my skills are very refined and I know the programmes inside out. While I know the programmes well, my skills are ever-growing and I’m willing to learn each and every day of my continued journey.
I'm now seeking a challenging opportunity to expand my expertise in graphic design and engagement with audiences and businesses.
I like to spend my free time with friends and family. Whether this may be grabbing a coffee, going for a walk or even a couple of drinks, I love to spend valued time with the ones I love. I also have begun making TikTok videos documenting my day-to-day outfits as I delight in styling outfits and experimenting with what works well together. I used the same positive remarks to help me start this as I did for running. This additionally, has helped with my editing skills for social media.
This has followed through to my work life as I want to bring the best me to work and succeed in one of the things I do best and that’s graphic design.
